One Line Description:
Lightweight Accordion JS

Javascript accordians have been used a lot in todays web design world. There are a lot of scripts we have seen and sure you too would have seen them.

We hope our script is one of the smallest accordion script which is extremely simple and easy to integrate. Does’nt require any framework and fully cross-browser compatible.

  • The SMALLEST Accordion Javascript ( 1,149 bytes )
  • Easy Integration.
  • Does’nt require any Framework.
  • Can be used as a Tab system ( sample in the demo )
  • Fully Cross-Browser Compatible
  • Source Files Included.

Below is the snippet to control the accordion.
<body onload=”new Accrodian(’my-menu’,5,’heighlight’);”>

which is in form of:
<body onload=”new Accordian(’container of your accordion’,speed,’highlighted accordion class name’);”>

Wow... Just got it to work. I missed something. The DOC type needs to be the first thing on the page. I read this but Dreamweaver puts an XML tag at the top for XHTML which needs to be removed. For Example:

Make sure to use a the DOC type and that it is the first line (

Hey Deziners,

Like the script, it is small, effective, and has good animations. I've spent a lot of time working on this script for client thinking it would work but now I'm having the IE 6 issue where it loops thru all the previously clicked on headers. This happens using accordian.pack.js. I tried the accordian-src.js and get a Active x warning in IE 7 as well.

I've seen lots of posts here about the looping or bouncing issue, but no clear solution. I'd love to get this to work as I've spent a couple hours getting setting it up and trying to get it to work. Is it a bug, a error in the set up. or something else?

A test page for what I'm working on is at link below. Any help, from anyone, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
