Orkut is more popular than FaceBook!

Loading ...Today we checked a comparison between 2 of the biggest social communities Orkut and Facebook in Alexa.
We found out that Orkut has a higher reach over Facebook!
Another this that is surprising for us is that Orkut is more popular in Brazil rather than the U.S. , where 68% of the traffic for Orkut comes from Brazil!
And the current Alexa rank for Orkut is 8 and Facebook is 13.
We are members of both the services and love them equally…

Orkut is like the MySpace of Brazil, or the Fotolog of Chile… each country has their “trend” in this kind of websites.

You forgot to mention about India. After Brazil , India is the second largest traffic to orkut, moreover, over all traffic for orkut from brazil is decreasing bcz India’s is rising, means.. orkut is increasing traffic in Brazil but in India it is getting popular on even higher rate..

@smsbabu ::: we didnt add India’s statistics because its just 4% of orkut’s traffic compared to Brazil’s 68%

Funny is that Oor (yeah I know its or but it sounds the same) means ear in dutch and kut means something like clitoris or vagina. So when you translate it… :em44: .
I think google must check there names first.

Orkut is Google’s stuff so maybe that’s why he’s more known that FaceBook.
honestly I don;t use any of them, but… don;t know - I’m just thinking that Google pushes his Orkut in front of others in some of their search results…
