Creating Pool Balls - PSD
Creating real life looking images in Photoshop is one side which we haven’t touched on. And here it goes now… These kind of images are simple to do but you need to give a thought around the lighting, shadows, colors…
Below are a bit real life looking Pool Balls which are created using Photoshop from scratch. PSD below for download.

More than we explain how we do it, we would rather prefer you take a real look on the source file (below download) so that you understand them better.
Play around with the gradient on the elliptical base of each ball to get amazing results. You can find cool gradients of ours here .

Isn’t it amazing how a sense of three dimensions and depth can be gained from a few simple 2D gradients and shapes! :em24:

Very nicely done! :em55:
A great thing to do before finishing a picture is rotate it for 180° and see if the objects are “falling out” of the picture. If they do, they need more heaviness.
Yours do not. They’re real pool balls you wouldn’t want to fall on your toe!
One thing I would add is more light reflection that “spotlight” would leave on the purple ball. Otherwise great job!
