Using existing XML not JSON file?

I would like to know if there is any chance to use XML file invalue="xmlUrl= and not JSON?
I need to integrate dfGallery v2 in my own gallery where I can generate xml file.

Hi, is there a way how to use xml file instread of this "json" thing? I have my own script for generating this xml file and it's not working with new version of dfgallery ...
